Individual Therapy
We offer psychological intervention to children and adolescents (5 to 18 years old). Our individual therapy sessions begin with an initial 50 minute session with parent/s during which we discuss your current concerns, gather relevant background information and set goals for therapy. This allows us to ensure we are the appropriate service and to determine what is the next best step. The initial session is usually parents-only to begin, however at the time of booking we will advise you if your child should also be present. If we are the right service to help you meet your goals, we will create a personalised treatment plan to address your specific concerns.
Ongoing therapy sessions are 50 minutes and one-on-one with your child, working through the goals set in the initial session and building your child's ability to cope with life's challenges. Parents are at times included in sessions (we will discuss this more in our initial session). We understand sometimes starting this journey can be scary for some, so we ensure we make this process as comfortable as possible.
